Recent independent evaluation findings (accounting for £346m of AWM investment) provide further evidence that Advantage West Midlands activities will generate a net economic benefit of £3,491m. When added to the £7,352m of economic impact documented in The National Impact and Evaluation Study (published by PricewaterhouseCoopers on behalf of the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) formerly BERR) that between 2002/3 and 2008/9 AWM is able to evidence economic benefit of £10,844 billion. When compared to an overall investment of £1,333m during this period, results with Advantage West Midlands generating £8.14 for every £1 invested in the region - an increase on the previous return of £7.45.
